Going up Krizevac is different to Podbrdo, as it is much longer, but slightly easier going. This is part of the path near the bottom of the hill.
To help you on your way there are Stations of the Cross plaques, where you can pause and contemplate. Many groups go up the hill this way, often in early morning, and it is quite and experience to be praying, with groups above and below you, and birds singing in the early morning air.

At the top of the hill is a large cross (hence the name) . This was erected in 1933 to celebrate 1900 years of redemption ; it is quite a thought that all the materials were brought up on foot to complete this task.
There have been reports in the past that the cross has seemed to change shape, or to light up, but even without these stories it is a centre for devotion and attention, especially in September each year when many climb the hill to celebrate the Triumph of the Cross.

The view from the top of Krizevac is truly spectacular, especially in early Springtime, when the distant mountains are topped with snow.
